Karate

Kyokushinkai Karate is, without a doubt, the most meaningful part of my social and personal life. I joined this incredible community when I was seven years old, and it has shaped me ever since.

In the beginning, my karate world was simple: the dojo, my training, and the friendships I built there. Looking back, growing up in that environment was one of the best things that could have happened to me. As a child, I was shy and often unfocused, but karate gave me direction, confidence, and a sense of belonging.

The Karate Dojo taught me values that go far beyond sport: discipline, respect, perseverance, and friendship. I quickly fell in love with training, passed my first grading, and earned my red belt. That moment marked the start of a lifelong journey I am still proudly walking today.

A traditional karate training is built on three core elements:

  • Kihon: The practice of fundamental techniques such as punches, kicks, and stances.
  • Kata: A precise sequence of movements performed like a fight against imaginary opponents.
  • Kumite: Full-contact sparring against a real opponent.
